Markus began his career as a creative director/editor, achieving notable success in Hollywood advertising campaigns. He’s best known for his award-winning trailers and TV spots for The Hunger Games series, a global franchise that grossed over $4 billion. His portfolio spans everything from edgy art-house films to productions by acclaimed directors like Steven Spielberg and Martin Scorsese.
Driven by a lifelong passion for music and sound design, he teamed up with composer David Hlebo to develop a groundbreaking set of tools that unlocks total musical flexibility—empowering editors to shape, adapt, and enhance music without limits.
David started as a musician and performer, playing with legends like Dizzy Gillespie and Oliver Nelson at the Monterey Jazz Festival, and touring with gospel icon Andraé Crouch. He was later featured on multiple albums by EELS, joining them on one of their world tours.
His deep fluency across styles and genres laid the foundation for his career as a film composer, ultimately shaping the musical vision of Dream Art Music.
Together, Markus and David built Dream Art Music—a company powered by their complementary expertise from opposite sides of the industry.
Today, DAM delivers one of the most innovative and user-friendly toolkits for editors available anywhere.
